Hello Wauwatosa Community,

The Wauwatosa School Board will meet for its only regular meeting of the month on Monday, May 11, 2026. The meeting will be held at the Fisher Administration Building (12121 W. North Avenue) in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, beginning at 6:00 p.m., and will be immediately followed by an Executive (Closed) Session. A link to the regular meeting live stream can be found below:

Immediately following the Call to Order, the Board will recognize Matthew Gootjes for his Performance at Lincoln Center.

Then, the Board will allow public comment in accordance with Policy 0167.3 - Public Comment at Board Meetings. Please note that this will be the only opportunity for public comment during the meeting.

Next, the Board will review and vote on the Consent Agenda.

Following this, the Board will vote to Approve Graduation Candidates and School Board Graduation Participation. Then, they will recognize the Student School Board Members, discuss School Board Compensation in Accordance with Bylaw 0144.1, and review the Strategic Plan - Interim Update #3.

Then, the Division of Human Resources will ask the Board to vote to Approve the 2026-28 Administrative Contract for Bradley Christensen as Principal of Madison Elementary School, effective July 1, 2026 for 229 days per year at an annual salary of $142,000. 

Following this, the Division of Finance and Operations will present the 2024 Referendum Update, Monthly Financial Report, ask the Board to vote to Approve Firewall Infrastructure Renewal and Subscription, and present Updates on Upcoming Finance and Resource Committee Meeting Topics.

Next, Division of Human Resources will bring forward the following items for Board review and action:

• Action to Approve 2026-27 Employee Health Insurance Benefits Proposal

• Action to Approve Noom for Employee Benefits

• Action to Approve Short-Term Disability Insurance for Employees

• Action to approve the 2026-27 agreement and base wage increase for teachers represented by the Wauwatosa Education Association of 2.63%

• Action to Approve 2026-27 Teacher Salary Increases

• Action to Approve 2026-27 Educational/Operational Staff Salary Increases

• Action to Approve 2026-27 SY Final Financial Nonrenewal Notices and Contract Salary Changes

Following this, the Board will review the Proposed High School Extended Period Daily Schedule Update.

Then, the Policy Committee will bring forward the following policies as first readings:

• Policy 3425.01 - Administrator Benefits

• Policy 3425.02 - Professional Staff Benefits

• Policy 5113.02 - Intra-District Safe School Transfers Options

• Policy 5771 - Search and Seizure

• Policy 8220 - School Day/School Closure

Next, the Board will adjourn into an Executive (Closed) Session to discuss the Superintendent’s performance evaluation.

Finally, the Board will adjourn.
