We had an insightful evening dedicated to understanding and supporting our "iGeneration" students in the digital era at our Digital Safety Night last week. Katey McPherson, with her 27 years of experience as a teacher, counselor, and school administrator, shared her compassionate approach to empowering parents with practical strategies to help children thrive amidst digital challenges. Thank you to everyone who was part of this important conversation!
Special shoutouts go to Chief of Pupil and Family Supports Luke Pinion for helping to organize this event and many great resources for our families, and to Elementary Library Media Services Coordinator Meegan Archambo for being in attendance to share how Digital Citizenship grade-level appropriate lessons are being taught in district K-12 libraries.
Keep an eye out for our Oct. 8 district newsletter to receive the resources from this presentation!
