Wauwatosa West and East high school students had the opportunity to visit Wauwatosa Fire Station #51 yesterday for a presentation and tour to learn more about the life of a firefighter. Presenters shared what it takes to pursue the career of a firefighter, including required education and training, and what benefits come with the career path. Students then toured the various areas of the station, interacted with professionals, checked out the vehicles, and tried on the weight of the heavy gear.
