Special School Board Meeting Preview

The Wauwatosa School Board has called a special board meeting for Tuesday, April 22, 2025 for the purpose of finalizing the work of the current Wauwatosa School Board. 

In particular, the current Legislative Advocacy Committee would like to close out two resolutions that have been discussed at the committee level and are now ready for Board action.  

 

Additionally, the Wauwatosa School District administration is seeking Board approval to serve as the fiscal agent for the Southeastern Wisconsin Schools Alliance (SWSA). 

 

Finally, the Wauwatosa School Board will review their October 28, 2024 vote to approve a final five-year contract with the Wauwatosa STEM (WSTEM) instrumentality charter school. The Board voted to grant a final five-year contract on October 28, 2024. 

 

The purpose of the special board meeting of April 22, 2025 is to review the offer that was made in October 2024. If approved, the charter school would remain open until the conclusion of the 2029-2030 school year.
