WSD Student Artwork to be Displayed at Wisconsin State Fair

The artwork of several Wauwatosa School District students will be on display at the 2019 Wisconsin State Fair.


The students are among the award winners for this year’s Young People’s Art Exhibit hosted August 1-11 in the Expo Center lobby.


The exhibit includes submitted and award-winning work of students in grades 6-12 in categories including painting, drawing, computer generated, printmaking, design, sculpture, craft (fabric or jewelry), photography and ceramics.


Categories are divided into a Junior Division for grades 6-8, Senior Division for grades 9-12 and Special Needs for grades 6-12. More than 400 pieces of art are submitted each year in the Senior Division from across the state. This year, West High School students won seven of the 30 Senior Division awards.
