Candidates will attend the School Board meeting on Monday, June 27, 2022 at 5:30 pm and will speak for a maximum of ten minutes. During this time, candidates will deliver an opening statement, respond to questions and provide a closing statement. Please note: the June 27 board meeting will start at 8:00 pm.
After each candidate has presented, a five minute silent reflection period will be observed prior to the vote. The vote of the Board shall be by anonymous paper ballot, and the candidate who receives a majority vote of the existing Board will win.
If no candidate receives at least four votes, then any candidate who received at least one vote will receive an additional three minutes to answer the following question: “Based on what you’ve heard tonight, is there anything else you’d like to add?”
Once again, members of the existing Board will vote anonymously via paper ballot. If no candidate receives at least four votes in a round, then all candidates who received at least one vote will advance to the next round, until one candidate receives at least four Board Members’ votes and is appointed to School Board Seat 7.
