Mrs. Elizabeth Daily
I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and have taught elementary orchestra in the Wauwatosa school district since 2000. I play all of the stringed instruments and piano. My major instrument is the violin. This year, I will be teaching 4th and 5th grade lessons and early orchestra at McKinley. I also will be teaching 5th grade lessons and early orchestra at Washington.
Outside of school, I participate in many orchestra-related activities. I am a violinist in the Kettle Moraine Symphony. I play the cello in Wauwatosa’s newest community orchestra, the Intergeneration Orchestra. And I’m also the treasurer for a statewide organization called WiASTA (Wisconsin String Teachers Association). Teaching at their annual Summer String Camps held at Camp Whitcomb Mason is always one of my summer highlights!
When I’m not making music or thinking about making music, I enjoy travelling, biking, cross-country skiing, tent camping, vegetable gardening, watching movies (SciFi & Fantasy are my favorites) and spending time with my family and friends. In addition, I am passionate about environmental education and am proud to be a co-leader of the Green Team club at McKinley with Mrs. Leigh. At Washington, I co-lead the Timby Green Team. Our goal is to divert material away from landfills by increasing recycling awareness and action.
