Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Michelle Price
My name is Michelle Price, and I have the privilege of teaching at Jefferson Elementary! I would LOVE to learn more about your child and family, so even if your child is not in my classroom feel free to stop by and introduce yourself.
After eight years of volunteering and working in elementary schools, I graduated as a dual major from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. I earned Bachelor of Science degrees in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Special Education with an Autism Spectrums Certificate and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training. Shortly after I graduated, I found the Jefferson Elementary community by working as a second grade substitute. My time subbing at Jefferson left me in awe of the commitment from all the staff to encourage students and help them grow as learners. I was incredibly fortunate to join “Team Jefferson” for my first year last year (2016-2017) as a first grade teacher! During my time at Jefferson I have continued my education by attending an Inclusion Summit conference and becoming certified through Trauma Sensitive training. I am elated to continue my teaching journey this school year as a Senior Kindergarten teacher with Kay Kortas as a teammate!
A little about my background- I am originally from the Fox Valley in Wisconsin, and am the middle child of my family. My parents and family members are frequent helpers in my classroom. Last year I married my husband, who is my high school sweetheart. He is currently studying to pursue his career as a pediatrician. Please do not hesitate to contact me at any time with any comments, questions, or concerns! The best way to get in contact with me at most times of the day would be through email (firstname.lastname@example.org). I look forward to working with you, your child, and having a wonderful school year at Jefferson Elementary!
Let's make the 2017-2018 school year an amazing experience together!
