Mr. Nicholas Koepke

Hello and welcome.  I've been teaching English at Wauwatosa West High School since 2010.  My focuses have been mainly in Adv. and Regular English 9, British Literature and Advanced Composition, but within my time here at West, I've taught pretty much every course the English Department has to offer.  I'm also involved in the IBA program at West High School - a league basketball program run on Wednesday evenings from November to March.

In addition to teaching at West, I also am the Assistant Girl's Swim Coach at Wauwatosa East.  I've been in this position since 2009.  I thoroughly enjoy being involved with both high schools here in Tosa.

Outside of my time in Tosa, I love making memories with my family.  My wife is a 4th grade teacher.  We have a black lab (Toby) and a son (Grayson).  Toby came into our family in June of 2017 and Grayson was born in November of 2017: that was a very busy year for us.  We love spending time together and exploring Wisconsin: state parks, water falls, sports games, restaurants, etc.

I also have a great deal of hobbies I like to do to keep me active.  I am an avid runner (about 600-700 miles a year).  I participate in numerous triathlons, half-marathons, 10ks and 5ks throughout the year.  I play on a recleague softball team with some friends during the summer as well.  When I'm not doing those activities, I'm attempting to contain my obsessions of Captain America, Marvel and DC movies/comics, and Major League Baseball: obviously the Milwaukee Brewers.

I have been truly blessed in this life, and I make it a goal of mine to live life fully and happily not only in my personal life but also in my professional life.
