Students will learn quick thinking skills with an emphasis on humor through improv. The workshop will introduce the basics of improv with activities and games for them to develop their skills.

Workshop 2: Intro To Theater
Students will be introduced to basic theater topics. They will learn the different parts of a stage, and common stage directions. Students will also learn the basics of acting and the lifecycle of a production from casting to showtime.

Workshop 3: How to Audition
Students will practice auditioning skills and gain tips on how to improve for future auditions. They will prepare a preselected piece and present for directors and peers and receive feedback. This workshop will also provide insight into the casting process.

Workshop 4: Stage Presence and Projection
Students will focus on how to speak, stand, and present themselves on stage. This workshop will cover proper breathing, posture, and diction. Students will gain valuable skills to help them be heard and understood on the stage.

Workshop 5: Character Development
Focus will be on learning speech, facial expressions, and movement that will help build and sustain a unique and believable character. Specific character qualities and traits will be learned along with how and when these are used in role acting. The student will be able to practice various interactive dialogues and monologues.
