Roosevelt Elementary is in East Tosa and serves the neighborhoods of Tosa East Towne, Inglewood Heights, Enderis Park, and Pasadena.
We are walking distance to the many shops and local restaurants located on North Avenue and enjoy an engaged and active neighborhood association; Tosa East Towne.
Built in 1929, Roosevelt is among the District's oldest school buildings, which is widely used for community and recreational activities after school hours. Another interesting piece of our history is that Mark Supa, the current principal, is only the eighth principal to serve Roosevelt in its almost 88-year history!
Academically, we are a school that routinely excels on the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction's (DPI) School Report Cards. In the 2016-2017 school year, we received the Overall Accountability rating of "Significantly Exceeds Expectations".
Niche.com, the popular school review website, gave us an overall grade of "A" and ranked Roosevelt among the Top 100 Best Elementary Schools in Wisconsin in its 2018 Best Schools list.
And, each year since 2011, we've been recognized by DPI and the Wisconsin Response to Intervention Center for our work to create a culturally responsive support system to meet the needs of ALL students.
