MADISON SCHOOL PROFILE

  • Madison Elementary is located in the northwestern corner of the City - located on Glendale and 100th Street - directly across from Madison Park.  We are one of the few schools in Wauwatosa surrounded by ample green space!

Madison serves the neighborhoods of Park Ridge, Lovers Lane, Ruby, and Tosa Heights.

We have a dedicated and engaged staff that has written several grants which have been awarded through the Education Foundation of Wisconsin (EFW) to promote literacy partnership with parents, as well as creating culturally relevant classroom libraries. We've also had several teachers nominated for the Herb Kohl Teacher of the Year award and one teacher who won Kohl Teacher of the Year.

Academically, our students have made continuous progress on local assessments and our school has consistently met or exceeded expectations on the School Report Card produced each year by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. We have also been recognized as a School of Merit and Distinguished School for Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports, or PBIS, which is part of our District's focus on educating the "whole child" by promoting the highest levels of cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and ethical development of each child.
