Ms. Kelly Corroy
I am the school psychologist at Wilson, WSTEM, and Roosevelt Elementary Schools and Longfellow Middle School, and have served the Wauwatosa School District since 2013. As a school psychologist, I work collaboratively with students, parents, and teachers to improve academic and social, emotional, and behavioral outcomes for students. School psychologists serve various roles within the schools, such as:
-Analyze student academic data as a member of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support teams within schools to determine student needs and identify available academic and/or behavioral supports;
-Consult and problem solve with parents and teachers when there are academic, social, emotional, or behavioral concerns to improve student outcomes;
-Communicate with community-based service providers to coordinate efforts to support students between home and school;
-Receive and process requests for special education evaluation;
-Conduct initial evaluations and re-evaluations for Special Education Services or 504 plan evaluations;
-Conduct evaluations for Gifted and Talented Services;
-Meet with individual or small groups of students to work on specific social/emotional skills to increase success at school.
If there is anything I can do to help your child experience greater success at school, please do not hesitate to contact me!
