Superintendent Parent Network

The Superintendent Parent Network provides opportunities for dialog and education about district initiatives.  Members of this group represent each school and are responsible for communicating information about new programs and policies to school/district parents.

The goal of the Parent Network is to provide the superintendent with the opportunity to use the attendees at these meetings as a sounding board/focus group for input on new initiatives and as an information network. School attendees report back to their school principal advisory or PTA/PTO groups.

District parents and community members are also invited to attend the monthly SPN meetings, the first Tuesday of the month at the Fisher building. Check the district web calendar for the topic and location.

Opening Doors to the 21st Century Through High School Opportunities

As parents and guardians, the unanswered questions of your son's or daughter's future can be stressful. So many questions and sometimes not enough answers. Will your student be the first in the family to go to college? Is your oldest student entering high school? Does your student know what it takes to enter today's job market? What does rigor in the class selection provide your student?

"Opening the Doors to the 21st Century Through High School Opportunities," the topic of the January Superintendent Parent Network Meeting, focused on these questions. Superintendent Phil Ertl and staff discussed options for students at East and West high schools and the Tosa School of the Trades.
