 Your educational community since 1955

Longfellow Middle School welcomes you and your child. It is our privilege to provide for the educational and personal needs of those students you send us. We hope to establish the best possible learning climate for your child. We view our task as one shared with parents. Through cooperative efforts of both school staff and parents, we believe Longfellow students will receive the optimum educational opportunities. We urge you to become an active participant in your child's education. It is essential to the success of the Middle School that all people involved (i.e. students, parents, teachers, counselors, and administrators) work together in a cooperative team spirit. Communication among all involved is extremely important. An open atmosphere must be maintained so all will feel that their input is needed and appreciated toward mutual goals. All this can happen only if each person involved has the attitude that he/she needs the opinions and involvement of all others. Then, and only then, will optimum headway be made in the direction of personal and educational growth of all concerned.
