Internet Safety Resources

Web safety is everyone's responsibility.  School districts are required to have filtering in place for the Internet.  WSD's filter is very good, but not all inappropriate content can be identified by filters.  Students are now creating web based content and viewing the content of their peers.   Because of these reasons we must teach our students safe practices.  The following websites can be integrated into lessons or recommended to parents.

Netsmartz is designed for parents, educators, law enforcement, teens and elementary students. The educators selection is well organized with activities for use on or off-line.
