| Underwood PLC Collaboration |

Our work on collaborative teams focuses on the 4 questions for learning:
-What do we want the students to know or be able to do?
-How do we know if they have learned it?
-If they have not, how do we get them to learn it?
-If they know it, how can we extend their learning?
Every week (from 2:15-3:57), staff are working through these items in all or in part with each other.

At Underwood, early release on Wednesdays and Professional Learning Communities has provided our faculty with valuable collaboration time. This time has allowed teachers to analyze the results from MAPs data, which has then been used to make instructional decisions to better meet our students’ needs. Reading and writing assessments also provided valuable information about students’ development in the areas of comprehension, language and communication. PLC teams have also developed lessons and shared their results of technology integration in instruction. The future goal of each group is to develop and administer common formative assessments, in conjunction with MAPs data, to target each individual student’s learning needs.
