Strategic Planning

At the January TSHST governing board meeting the board had the opportunity to meet with Dr. Keith Marty, superintendent of the Menomonee Falls school district. He will be facilitating the group through their strategic planning process. Dr. Marty has lead many through this process including the Wauwatosa School District. The TSHST board is very appreciative of his expertise and are eager to work with him!

The board would like to extend an invitation to any parents interested in being a part of this process. The first three dates have been set and are as follows (these dates are driven by Dr. Marty’s schedule):

Before committing to this process it’s important to know that the expectation is that you will be able to attend all of the meetings as this is crucial to the process. Dr. Marty also expressed the significance of approaching the process with an open mind and the desire and ability to think “outside the box.” He also spoke to the value of being a good faith planner by respecting all involved, despite the fact that you may or may not agree with them. Ground rules will be established at our first meeting.

Welcome to the first charter school in the Wauwatosa School District. This is our third year as a co-facility with Wilson School, and as our student population has been drawn from across the district, so have partnerships from throughout the community, including MATC, the Wisconsin Athletic Club, and the Zoological Society, to name a few. The school curriculum is unique from any other available in our district, with the health sciences and technology infused in the study of literacy, writing, mathematics and social studies. Through our website, you will participate along side our students as they conduct experiments and take field trips throughout the school year.
