About Our School 

'Plank Road School is an alternative school located in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin serving

students who reside in residential programs operated by St. Charles Youth and Family

Services.  The mission of 'Plank Road School is:

'Plank Road School provides a tailored education for students so that they will:

1) increase their literacy and math skills

  2) learn and practice positive social skills

3) make progress toward personal goals

and high school completion 

'Plank Road School serves students in middle and high school.  With small class sizes, up-

to-date technology and individualized programming, students at 'Plank are able to practice

skills they need to practice and learn new skills that will help them be successful when

they return to their community middle and high schools. 

Classes are scheduled for a full day, and students currently attend classes in core academic subjects, art and physical education.

The school is part of the Wauwatosa School District and has been in operation since the early 1970s.
