About the School Program and Children's Hospital
The school program at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin is administered by the Wauwatosa School District. Three full-time certified teachers provide schooling for children who cannot attend their regular school due to their hospitalization. The teachers are assisted by a teachers' aide. Instruction for kindergarten through high school students is provided in the hospital schoolroom or at the bedside.
State of the art computer technology, including Internet access and the latest CD ROM programs are available for the student's educational benefit. Textbooks, reference materials, and library books are also found in the hospital schoolroom.
