PowerSchool Parent Portal Overview

Powerschool will be down for scheduled maintenance from 4pm, Friday, December 18, 2009 thru 6am, Monday, December 21, 2009.  

Overview 

This summer Wauwatosa School District migrated it’s student information system (SIS) to a new platform. This means that the website where you can view your students’ grades, attendance reports, etc, has changed from what was used last year.
 
The new solution is called PowerSchool. 
 
What is it?
 
PowerSchool is a web-based Student Information System (SIS) that provides close to real-time information related to grades, assignments, attendance,    bulletins, etc, to school parents and students. It can be accessed from any    device that utilizes a standard web browser and has Internet access.
 
While most of the information that parents and students see will be identical, their usernames and passwords will be separate. Parentshave a unique     username and password, separate from their students, so that they can control contact details utilized by PowerSchool (email address) and the frequency of notifications that they want to receive from Powerschool.
 
Parent access to PowerSchool requires a unique username and password for every student in a family. For families with more than one child in the District, a separate parent username and password will be provided for access to each child's information.
 
How do I get to it?
 
You can access the PowerSchool web page by:
 
· Clicking on the Powerschool link on the Wauwatosa School District main web page (on the right hand side there is an icon).
 
· Clicking on the Powerschool link on the district Powerschool Parent Portal information page. A menu item related to the PowerSchool Parent Portal exists on the left hand side of the districts main web page.
 
· Cutting and pasting the following URL into your web browsers address bar:
 
By doing one of the three options above you will reach the PowerSchool Parent Portal login page.
 
Enter the username and password that you received from your school.   Click on the “Enter” button you will be presented with the PowerSchool main login screen.
