1.    You must be a Wauwatosa School District student to submit an entry.  This competition is not open to teachers, staff, parents, students from other school districts, etc.  If one or more of your parents or relatives works in the district that is ok – as long as the poster you turn in was made by you.

2.    Posters must be original.  You are not to break any copyright laws, copy other peoples work, etc.

3.    You can only submit a poster for the category in which you attend school (elementary, middle, or high school). 

4.    Only one entry per student.

5.    All entries become the property of Wauwatosa School District.

6.    You can make your posters however you like - paint, draw, even created on a computer.  Your poster must meet the following, very important, guidelines though:

                  i.    Your posters must be “2 dimensional”.  That means they must be flat so that entries can be easily scanned, copied, etc. 

                 ii.    Your posters must be submitted on paper or card stock.

                iii.    Your posters must be no bigger than 11 x 17 inches.  

               iv.    Before you submit your poster, on the back, in BIG CLEAR LETTERS SO THAT IT CAN BE EASILY READ, you must print your name, grade level, and school. Do not put it on the front. It must be on the back of the poster.

7.    Posters that do not follow the guidelines will be disqualified.

8.  You have to create your poster in your own time.  You can’t use class time to make these posters.

9.  You must use your own materials to make your poster.  You can't use school materials.

10.   Once your poster has been created give it to one of the staff in your school office.

11.   You must submit your entry by the end of the school day on Monday, December 13, 2010.

12.  Posters will be judged on originality, creativity, and relevance to the theme.

13.   The judge’s decisions will be final.

14.  The winners will be announced at 9am, in school, on the morning of December 23, 2010.  If you win you will get your prize on that day.  Good luck!!!
