Wauwatosa Alumni Information
United with parents and the community, the Wauwatosa School District delivers an outstanding education that equips and inspires our students to conquer their challenges now and in the future.

The Wauwatosa School district has a rich history, which is reflected in our schools.  Wauwatosa High School was established in 1876 and became Wauwatosa East HS prior to the 1961-62 school year.  The current East building was built in 1928.

As the city of Wauwatosa grew, with the annexation of the western portions of the city in 1954, Wauwatosa West High School opened  in 1961 and the current high school building was opened in 1970.

Thousands of students have graduated from these schools.  Each year various alumni classes ask to tour East and West as a part of their reunions. Today, Wauwatosa families who attend football games or theater productions often notice the large number of alumni who return for those events on a regular basis.

In an effort to provide more opportunities for Wauwatosa alumni to participate in district programs and activities, a new alumni initiative has begun.  The first link to our alumni will be through a new web page, which will include information about each high school.  This site will provide information and enable alumni to link to the Wall of Inspiration at East as well as the West Scholarship Foundation. As the alumni page is developed, links to the athletic, theater, band and orchestra booster clubs will also be available.

The Wauwatosa School District values its alumni and their input as it develops this new alumni initiative.  If you are interested in serving on the Alumni Initiative Committee, whose members will help the district with outreach through alumni events, newsletters and web links, please contact:
